Too bad they’re all dead.. Though I’ve read somewhere that the canon ending for FF3 was the second one where Kei and Mio survived the curse..

Spirit Camera: The Cursed Memoir Coming to North America

Nintendo of America has confirmed that Spirit Camera: The Cursed Memoir will be coming to the 3DS on Friday, April 13.

What is Spirit Camera? It’s a horror/adventure game developed by Tecmo Koei. The game utilizes the 3DS’ built-in camera and augmented reality functions to enhance a sinister and spellbinding storyline by using the player’s own pictures and surroundings.

In the game, you play Maya, a girl who has been hiding in the shadows of an old house.  Players need to help Maya break free from a horrible curse and help her escape from the clutches of a mysterious woman in black.

Spirit Camera will also come with a 16-page AR book (known as the “diary of faces in Story Mode). The AR book serves as a gateway into this very haunting experience.

Just when I decided I won’t buy a 3DS.. D:

I want my hat back - Fatal Frame version

I’m thinking of making one. Might try it later.

tinycartridge:

Scans of Shinrei Camera, a new 3DS game co-developed by Tecmo’s Fatal Frame team and Nintendo.

As you can surmise from the title and these shorts, it’s a horor game that takes advantage of the 3DS’s augmented reality capabilities. The game will come with an “AR Notebook” that you can point your camera at in-game to reveal hidden messages, clues, and even demons.

1UP translated Famitsu’s preview of the game, with comments from producer Keisuke Kikuchi:

Shinrei Camera will feature three game modes: a story-driven adventure set in the same world as the rest of the Fatal Frame series; a minigame collection that uses the AR notebook; and a ‘ghost camera’ mode that allows you to snap supernatural pictures of yourself and your friends.

‘Compared to previous Fatal Frame titles … there isn’t as much actual time spent with the game itself — that’s because you’ll also be spending time turning pages on the AR notebook and looking around in real life instead of moving your character around.’”

Like Fatal Frame IV, Nintendo will publish this in Japan, and has no plans yet to release this in the U.S.

Haha this reminded me of the first time we played Fatal Frame (That was Fatal Frame 3). My younger brother and my cousin were initially the first ones who played the game and I just kept watching (like watching a movie teehee). When there’s a ghost, they kept on passing the controller to each other while all of us were screaming crazily hahahaha!
In the end I got the controller and be the one who played the game (and eventually finished it) as I’m really drawn into the cool and interesting story line of the game. Fun times indeed. :3
